Let’s face it. You might just be breathless…emotionally.
In our fast-paced and often chaotic lives, it’s not uncommon to be constantly chasing for a sense of stability and security.
I mean… who wants to live a life filled with insecurities, worries and fear?
Nobody!
But if you find yourself feeling that way a little too frequently, your root chakra might be out of balance.
The root chakra, also known as the Muladhara, is the foundation of our energy system, located at the base of the spine. When the root chakra is balanced and energized, it provides us with a solid grounding, promoting a sense of safety, stability, and strength. However, if the root chakra is blocked or imbalanced, it can lead to feelings of insecurity, fear, and instability. To find out more about your root chakra, click here.
1) Hand Mudra
One simple exercise you can do to balance your root chakra is “Gyan Mudra”.
How: Bring the tip of your thumb and tip of your forefinger together and touch them lightly. Keep the other fingers outstretched. Take deep breaths and chant the seed mantra “Laahhhmmmmm”.
2) Sound Therapy
396hz is the frequency associated with the root chakra. It’s responsible for regulating your basic instincts including: survival, safety and security. If you live in a constant state of stress and anxiety, your body triggers the sympathetic nervous system. When this happens, your mind mimics feelings of fear, stress and anxiety as though you’re a sheep and there’s a wolf hunting you. So If you're someone who:
- Tends to overthink
- Relive past experiences
- Worry about the future
- Haven't worked through past trauma
Your sympathetic nervous system is almost always activated. To “deactivate” it, listening to the 396 Hz frequency can help to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, signalling to your brain that you are safe and calm, and liberate you from negative emotions relating to fear, guilt, insecurity and anxiety.
When listening to this soundtrack, there is no need to sit down and meditate for a full 60-minutes. 396 Hz (Solfeggio frequency) can be used as background music while you’re doing other things!
3) Mala Necklace
Or.. you could get yourself one of these beautiful mala necklaces.
These necklaces are a traditional tool used in root chakra healing, and work exceptionally well with mantras. Here’s how you use it:
First, hold it in your left (receiving) hand, with the beads between your index finger and thumb.
Then, you count mantra recitations and focus your concentration on what you want to achieve during practice.
*(Counting mantras with your Mala occupies the hand/body, reciting mantras occupies the voice, and visualization of the deity occupies the mind).
By focusing these three aspects of yourself onto the practice at once, the benefits are multiplied and the spiritual merit accumulates, so that when you wear it around your neck, the ENERGY you have imbued it with cancels out your fears and doubts, and replaces them with strength, confidence, and stability, which STAYS WITH YOU all day (and night) long!
If this is something that you wish to add to your possession, shipping has already been covered! Get yourself one of these beautiful mala necklaces here (works super well with Hand Mudra)
